high kicks

Yeah, so I'm back to talking about Little Dorrit again.

Gosh darn you, show, for making me like characters I thought I didn't. As trying as these last few episodes have been (Arthur and Amy are so faaaaaaaaar from one another!) Venice has been good to the other characters. Like Fanny. God, she annoyed the snot out of me before, but with this episode I feel pushed into liking her. She was just being so awesome! With her high kicks ("but it wouldn't do, so I don't do it") and teaching Mr. Sparkler not to call her a damn-fine-girl-with-no-begod-nonsense-about-her and being all sisterly and sweet with Amy (and how pretty was she in that scene? Without the wacky hairdos and funny lipstick). I think Fanny/Sparkler is now my second favourite pairing! Which is odd. ;)
-Did anyone else hear what Mr. Gowan said right before the baby was born? He was mumbling something, and I thought it sounded like he knew what it (i.e. fatherhood) was like. Intriguing! (Also, poor Pet.)
-Monsieur Blandois is missing! I am not disappointed.
-And the letters! Ah, Amy thought she could be going home and Mr. Clenham was all happy but now she can't. WWWWWHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY CAN'T THEY JUST GET MARRIED ALL READY?? Stupid Mr. Dorrit.

One thing I'm confused about: the show usually airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but this week the Beeb website says the episode is airing tonight. But it says Scotland only. Does that mean we, the general public downloaders and hackers of iPlayer excellence, won't get episode 12 this week? And if so, when is it airing?? I WANT IT NOW.

Wow, this week has made me whiny. *g*

And Pushing Daisies was excellent! (obligatory why-oh-why moment) Olive just... Kristin Chenoweth is my hero. Going head to head with Muffin Buffalo (who seems to have had success outside the trailer park) and singing and detecting and... Emerson! And Lily! And Chuck--oh, it's all so fantastic and cliff-hangy and I want more.
Though you know really my favourite part was the plastic-wrapped spooning. ;)

The Office was so-so for this episode, but I did get a kick out of Dwight's wedding plans. Yeah. Like that was going to go over well.

TELEVISION IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN UNIVERSITY.

ETA: BWA. Now I feel vindicated: BBC Receives Thousands of Complaints After Dropping Little Dorrit for Shannon Matthews documentary (as in, not cancelled, just pre-empted) AND TOO RIGHT TOO. I kind of love how the rest of the article is one big complaint about the Beeb's scheduling shenanigans. *firm nod*

Now... where's my Episode 12??!!
