back to our regularly scheduled programming

You know what I haven't talked about in a long time? TV. Which is hilarious considering how much of it I'm still watching. Like I'd ever give up on TV. Looooooooool.

Ouch, show. My heart. :'( I think this is going to be an excellent set-up for more drama and a great way to being Chuck's mum's story back into the show (and really, anytime a plot point involves Sarah Walker dressing up and kicking ass I am ALL FOR IT) but but but... both Sarah and Chuck looked so heartbroken and devastated when she left and I can't handle it! He was going to propose! She was going to say yes! THEY WERE SO CLOSE.

"Chuck we have so much together. We have a real life and a future. But I need to go back to being the old me just a little while longer if I plan on surviving this."
"Survive what? Where are you going?"
"I'm going undercover to Volkoff Industries I'm going to take them down from the inside."
"No, no, you're not, that's exactly how I lost my mom."
"That's exactly how you're going to get her back, Chuck. I'm doing this for you, okay? I'm doing this for us."
"Why does it have to be you?"
"Chuck you have to trust me, okay? For Beckman's plan to work it has to be me. I'm sorry."
***
"I love you."
"I love you too, Chuck. I'm not going to come back without your mom."

*sniffles* OKAY. OTHER THINGS I THOUGHT ABOUT THIS EPISODE:

-As much as I loved the submission, Chuck, for the love of all that is good and holy, please stop involving Morgan in your relationship. Your best friend in a suit and carrying a bunch of balloons should never be a part of your proposal. Only one of the good things that came out of the restaurant proposal being axed. Seriously, guys. Simple, simple, simple. The fewer people involved the better.
-On that note, I LOVED it when Sarah got involved in her own proposal. Not least because I love all scenes between Morgan and Sarah. He still finds her terrifying and it's awesome. And Sarah looked so adorably pleased with herself too. ASLKHAFHKJ. *hugs them*
-Although actually EVEN BETTER! Casey's story about his own proposal! Chuck you've got to take relationship advice from Casey from now on. "I'll always have that day. I'll always have that look on her face. The truth is there's no such thing as the perfect moment or the perfect spot, so, forget about the balcony, Bartowski. All you need is the girl." Excuse me as I *swooooon*
-WHERE WERE ELLIE AND AWESOME?? Please, show, cut down on the Jeffster and spare us the Buy More ridiculousness (as much as the Canadian in me felt that obligatory thrill at being acknowledged) and give us more Awesomes! Some follow up from the last episode? what does Ellie think about Awesome handing over the computer to Chuck? Does she know? Hmm? HMM? HMM???
-Back to Chuck and Sarah though, does anyone have any preferences for where the actual proposal takes place? My vote would be the fountain. We've had so many important relationship scenes between them there over the years--both good and bad--that I think it would be the perfect place to tie it together. BUT REALLY AS LONG AS IT'S MY TWO GORGEOUS KIDS BEING HAPPY AND IN LOVE (and as long as Morgan has the minimalist of roles to play) THAN I'M GAME.

In other televisionary news, I watched the entire series of 'V' over three days this week! I am the coolest. The show is ridiculous, and hilariously right wing (the aliens give us universal health care? IT'S EVIL! Renewable energy? EVIL! Repairing the environmental damage to the planet? ACTUALLY AN EVIL WAY OF EVILLY MAKING US READY FOR THEIR EVIL BREEDING EXPERIMENTS. OF EVIL) which makes it even more hilarious that the good guys are self-professed terrorists. But anyway, instead of repeating my "thoughts" to the show, I thought I'd just repost my ongoing twitter reactions for your enjoyment and edification. Because basically anything I thought can be summed up in 140 characters or less. ;D
1) It's not that I ever doubt you, lovely internet peeps, but sometimes I'm a bit slow. Finally watched the pilot of 'V'. :D #iknewalanwasevil
2) Question: Is Tyler ALWAYS this annoying? And dear lord, Erica needs to bang that priest. HNNG. #jesussaidhescoolwithit
3) So the Vs are offering universal healthcare but with really long waiting times. Basically they are Canadian? #evilspacelizardseh
4) Anders is in every show ever! HI ANDERS! #johnmaylives #ornot #goodoneryan
5) Ah. Now I understand why Vs want to have emotions and join the 5th Column. #itsthesexytiems #lisayousaucyminx #thosrslyyoucoulddobetter
6) [About Lisa] I like her. I think I am Pro-Evil Canadian Space Lizards. :D #theyruleeh #andtylerisawhinybitch
7) [About Lisa/Joshua] Ooh, I could be all over that ship. Lisa still owes him that ~favour~ #sexytiemscanbeafavour #hehpoortyler #butnot
8) Haha, Tory. Always being the evil Canadian space robot/lizard. #sawthatonecoming #atleastshecombedherhair
9) Hee hee hee hee. Lizard Princess. #srslythosomebodystopme #toomuchv #toomuchridiculous #lizardprincess
10) Ugh, can Erica just adopt Lisa? I'd love the awesome mommy to an awesome lizard princess so much more. #annacanhavetyler
11) Joshua! I want to press kisses all over his lovely lizard-y face. #favcanadianspacelizards #andiamalloverthatandlisalikeabadrash
12) Aaaand I've managed to watch all of #V season 1 in... 2 days? #oops #bestgradstudentever #ialsodidlaundrytoday

Sooooooo, as you can probably tell, I started out looking for ships as one does, and was feeling the Erica/Father Jack pull initially. BUT THEN! I figured out that legit shipping in this show is probably as ridiculous as the entire premise itself, and just threw myself into enjoying it. Funnily enough--and as much as I love Erica, yay, favourite human--I'm finding the visitor characters so much more interesting. For one, Morena flipping rocks it as Anna. She's so chilling but then so good at putting on the guise of concern that you can see why humans and visitors alike fall under her power so easily. And Lisa! And Joshuaaaaaaa! Oh my gosh they're my favourite! I want to know more about the Fifth Column among the V. Other than people like John May and Ryan who fell in love with humans, what made someone like Joshua stand up against Anna and fight for his freedom? What does Lisa see as her role now that she's joined? Is she going to overthrow her mother (as her mother did before her--btw there's some interesting mythological themes going on here, but with the ladies which makes it even more interesting). It seems like that's what Joshua wants. What does Lisa want? And I refuse to believe it's just Tyler because dear lord he's so laaaaaaame. Lisa, honey, you are a hard core powerful LIZARD PRINCESS. You can do better.

So many other exciting TV in my life. Castle has been slowly worming it's way into my heart of late--surprising perhaps because even though I've been watching it for two years now, I've really started to notice just how consistently enjoyable and fun it is. Every episode ends with me smiling like a fool. And there's not a single character I don't like. And so excited for next week. SO EXCITED!

And finally speaking of excited--OH MY GOOD GOLLY GOD FRINGE IS FINALLY COMING BACK TO ME ON FRIDAY IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG WITHOUT MY BB OLIVIA AND LORD ALMIGHTY I HOPE IT DOES WELL WITH IT'S NEW FRIDAY SLOT. I CANNOT THINK OF A UNIVERSE WITHOUT IT NOW. I AM TOO FAR GONE.
