April is the cruelest month
Apr. 16th, 2007 12:14 pmI had my third exam (out of five) this morning in the arena. And it was freezing. What I learned: writing an exam in a freezing cold hockey rink is not so much conducive to smart thoughts. I would rather have skated. But at least it's over! Haha - take that Literary Landmarks! Not to sound overly dramaztic or anything, but worst class ever! Taking a whirlwind tour through Western Literature from Chaucer to Salman Rushdie and more is not as much fun as you might think. Especially when you have to read and discuss something like T.S. Eliot's "The Waste Land" in only ONE CLASS and then are expected to come up with something Deep and Insightful to say about it in the exam. Oy. But still, not actually that bad an exam, and it is over! Goodbye notes!
And now I should really go food shopping, but it's too cold (TOO GAWD DAMN COLD! IN APRIL!) and I don't wanna. I REALLY should though, my food situation is getting desperate. In fact, in my possession there is only:
-half a box of cheerios
-one can of tomato soup
-one can of tuna
-a piece of chicken that's been in my freezer since Christmas
-some frozen vegetables
-and lots of tea bags and various assorted condiments that put together make nothing even close to resembling a meal.
Uh... I will go. Soon(ish). *grabs the tomato soup*
Anyway, in more cheery news, I'm finally d-loading the new Who ep. I only waited this long because I didn't want to let myself watch it (or even contemplate the ide of watching it) before my exam. But now, without another exam until friday, I plan to enjoy it throughily! And yes, I have heard one or two things about the Doctor and a kitten, and yes, I think it sounds heart-breakingly adorable, but I Don't Want to Know Anything! *blindfolds herself as she explores the flist* There, that should do it. ;)
And finally, I really miss Robin Hood! I know, it's weird, but... I just want more of my cheesy historical BBC crack! *wails* There needs to be more fic and discussions and snuggly-wuggly Robin/Marian OTPness. Hmm... I think I may have to write some of that myself though. Oh well, I guess there's worse wastes of time. *g* Those of you who haven't seen the BBC's new version of Robin Hood, um... save yourselves? No, it's awesome - just so damn cheesy and yet wholly addicting at the same time. And I want more!!!!!!
*goes a-searching*
Dude, there's got to be some Robin/Marian fluff somewhere.
