(no subject)

I'm throwing myself into the BBC's Little Dorrit right now, and stubbornly ignoring anything else that may be happening in TV land. Because the latest episode just made me want to wrap Mr. Clenham in cotton fluff and kiss him, and that feeling is a lot better than that other thing I could be feeling about that thing that may or may not have happened, but has probably happened, else where.

Yeah. British television is definitely the place to be tonight.

*tugs at your sleeve softly*

*blinky eyes* I can haz paper thoughts?

Dude. Do you want to do something tomorrow night to celebrate YAY PAPER DONE YAY!!! ? I need to go to the Park Lane mall to buy candy for an American friend, and we could see a movie or something perhaps. WE HAVE EARNED IT.

Your thoughts?

*confuzzled* Did you send it to me? Shoot, maybe my alert isn't working. *checks* Nope. No e-mail from Xtine.

Er... if you did send it to me, this is worrying.

OOH SOUNDS GOOD. I'm not actually sure if there are any movies out I want to see, but I'm definitely willing to check it out. Actually, Robyn asked me earlier if I had any plans for the weekend, and I sort of blinked erratically, mumbled something and hid. It was amusing.

*muffled scream*

It didn't send?? *frowns* Dude. That's messed up. Did you get the attachment of my edit of your paper? I sent it before that. Ok, I'll retransmit, if you don't mind looking it over? I know it's late for you, so if not no worries.

Browsing through the site, the only things that look potentially interesting (EW TWILIGHT EW DIE DIE) are the new animated movie Bolt (about the wee dog who thinks he's a superhero?) and of course Bond; if you still wanted to see it, I'd go again. I need to unwind.

Also, since it doesn't seem that email is working that well, what's up with seriesgringas? :(

I didn't receive anything, not my paper or yours but I think this might be an issue with my e-mail. I noticed a few things had a long delay, but now I'm starting to think this is an all around problem. I think I'm going to sleep now, but I'll get up early and check if anything has come, and try to get it back to you right away. If not, my e-mail's totally screwed me over.

Oh, but try seriesgringas.info

OH MY GOD YOUR ICON. YOUR ICON. IT HAS MADE ME HAPPY.

I'm not thinking about the other thing, let's just talk about how AMAZING Little Dorrit is, yes?

IT'S THE HAT. THE HAT MAKES ME SQUEE UNTIL KINGDOM COME. OH, MR. MACFADYEN. <333

Yes, ignoring that other thing, Little Dorrit is making me sooooooo happy right now. Except that it's also so hard to watch Arthur and Amy absolutely love each other and everyone else is being so bothersome and getting in the way.

YET CLEARLY THEY BOTH FANTASIZE ABOUT GETTING MARRIED AND HAVING A LITTLE COTTAGE SOMEWHERE AND SAYING THINGS LIKE, "ARTHUR, DEAR?" AND "YES, AMY DEAR?" AND STARING AT EACH OTHER AND YES.

And oh my god, Eve Myles and Freema and Andy Serkis and everyone British EVER and I am going to be so sad when this series is over.

I LOVE THAT HAT THE BEST BECAUSE IT IS SO SILLY. BUT ALSO I LOVE THE REGULAR OLD STOVEPIPE TOP HAT AS WELL BECAUSE ALSO GOOD AND SEXY.

Ooh, and we're at the exact middle point of the series which means it's going to start going completely crazy and get all woeful and frustrating and oh my god I am so excited.

They do fantasize about exactly that, I am sure of it, and I will take that thought to sleep with me tonight and not the other thing because no, the other thing is not nice.

EEEEEVVVVVVEEEEEEEE. She's so cute. And Andy Serkis is a TOTAL NUTBURGER OMG IF YOU ARE IN A SCENE WITH HIM YOUR ARE JUST NOT SAFE AND NEED TO RUN. RUN AWAY.

I love this series so much. I thought it could not be as awesome as Bleak House (as they are the hip new stylish Dickens minis and whatnot), but IT IS AND I LOVE IT JUST AS MUCH I DO OMG I DO (or maybe more even maybe). PLUS THERE IS MAFFYOO AND I JUST. OOOOH. I LUFF HIM.

ACK, I KNOW. IN NEXT WEEK'S PREVIEW HE WAS ALL CREEPILY TOUCHING AMY AND JUST STOP IT! GET AWAY FROM HER NOW!

And Mr. Clenham is my new favourite Macfadyen ever. Even more than A2A's. ;) I JUST LOVE HIM SO AND HIS CARING AND HIS FANCY HATS.

I really might have to splurge for the dvd when it's out here.

I just...I'm not even sure how I feel right now. In denial, mostly.

OH, SHOW. I heart you forever.

I... I can't understand why anyone would want to live in a world without a magical piemaker and Olive and Emerson Cod. Networks and ratings be damned. When a show has won critical acclaim, fricken EMMYS, and a small if devoted fanbase, shouldn't that be enough? Haven't we moved beyond this ratings obsessed era yet?

Just... I don't get it.
