battlestar finale!

Yes, I lied. I totally woke up early and watched it. *shrugs* Wasn't like I could sleep anymore anyway. ;)

MY AGATHONS LIVED! (After an hour of"...but what the frak happened to Helo????!!!!" I was 'bout ready to explode.)

Ron Moore is so heavy-handed I'm surprised he's not made of lead. *snerks* But yes, we get it. Our home is a gift. And we probably would do better to be reminded of it often. But did we REALLY need that last 15,000 year later scene? I think we did not.

...MY AGATHONS LIVED!!!!!! And they're happy and together and they're going to go hunting and build and house and farm and have lots of babies and be the parents to all of Humanity(/Cylonity). YAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!

I'm sure I'll have more thoughts when I process it all. Look for me in a year.

I totally thought Helo was down for the count and it would be like Anya and we maybe would get to morn later. I'm so glad that was not the case!

I kinda liked the last scene, the robot thing is creepy. For example this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFgXEkzMq7A freaks me out.

I NEARLY CRIED WITH JOY WHEN I SAW HIM ALIVE. I've been worried about them killing him off since season three, and now I'm tickled pink that he's alive and happy and with his family and there is joy!

And I can see what you mean about the last scene, but I still didn't like it. I've seen a lot of those robots before and it's just... blech. Yeah, the show is supposed to make us relate to our own world, but it shouldn't have made it so obvious. I expect lack of subtlety from Joss, but at least he does it in a funny way.

I was worried Helo at the end was just a projection between Athena and Hera, because he had died and both were sad about his passing, but then the Agathons walked by in the background of the Baltar/Caprica Six scene and then the world was right again. :-D

I watched the finale with a bunch of people and they all agreed the show should have ended on Adama on that hilltop.

But just in case, I'm not buying a Roomba anytime soon. ;-)

Yeah, I was biting my nails up until that point.

I think the last shot probably should have been on Hera, future of humanity, etc. So not that subtle, but a lot better than what we got.

The robot thing kind of reminded me of the end of "Blink". ;)

My sister said that, too!

Ending on Hera would make sense, too. The show was all about the human race.

Glad I'm not the only one who's a big enough geek to see it. ;)

AGREED. *SNERK*

AGATHONS ♥. I have watched that scene several times now. ALSO HELO IN A BLACK SHIRT CARRYING HIS CHILD. I am v. simple.

I'm sure I'll have more thoughts when I process it all. Look for me in a year.

I know, right?

There should be more shows that have Tahmoh in a black t-shirt carrying around babies. BALL'S IN YOUR COURT NOW, JOSS. ;)
