Tall Ships 2009
Summer is festival time in Halifax--we've already been through the Jazz Festival, and the Busker's Festival is coming next month. But the best known and largest-crowd-drawing was this week: the Nova Scotia Tall Ships Festival. And working down at the waterfront, I've had some of the best vantage points.

Absolutely gorgeous pics. Although I have no idea what The Bluenose looks like. :(
OH! And there's a ship with the Brazilian flag! HOW KEEN!

The Bluenose is the sharp little schooner with her sails up. It's on the Canadian dime, hence the notoriety.
And yep! There were Brazilian ships, and Portuguese, and Dutch, and British, and Russian, and a whole load of others, and most of them were peopled by young men in uniforms. It was a international smörgåsbord of hot. ;DDDDDDD

Also, I'm sure I could spot the Bluenose if I got out a dime or my old albums from when I went out east. I've been on the Bluenose once before.

And ooh, where were you on the Bluenose? Halifax? Lunenburg? Somewhere else entirely?

Ooh ooh! Was The Black Pearl there?!?! And what's The Bluenose? (And look at how optimised your images are! EEEEEE)

I did not see The Pearl, although I did see more than my fair share of Jack Sparrows. And The Bluenose is the boat on our dime. Famous Canadian schooner. ;)
