apt decorating continued!
I love a before and after, don't you?
And then...
You can't imagine how happy it makes me to have my books back. (Although you are all nerds so maybe you can.) It just makes this place seem more homey and complete. And it also makes me notice how much room I still have and how I should probably go out and get some more books. ;D
ANYWAY, book nerdery aside, I had a wonderful birthday yesterday. Bike ride in the morning, beautifully sunny day with friends at the pride parade downtown, and then a delicious dinner with my family at the waterfront, topped off with (albeit, kind of distant) fireworks. The "oh god, I'm 25 now what am I doing with my life?" feeling will still take a bit of getting used to, but hey. I'm also the imminent first-time owner of an iPhone, so I absolutely can't WAIT to join in the instagram-y hipster-filter fun. Does anyone have any favourite app recommendations?

Ahahaha I have way too many app recommendations. But right now what's coming to mind is Enigma (so you can have a tiny Enigma machine with all the sounds and stuff on your iPhone, BECAUSE OF COURSE YOU WOULD WANT THAT!) and Pocket Frogs. Also LiveATC, but people keep telling me no one cares about listening to air traffic control all over the world except me, which is weird because IT'S SO FREAKING AWESOME.

Thanks for the apps, I'll definitely check out Enigma! And although I may not be that interested in ATC myself, I FULLY SUPPORT YOUR AWESOME SELF DOING SO.
(BTW that reminds me--have you listened to Cabin Pressure at all? It is the most delightful of BBC Radio 4 comedy-dramas about an charter airplane and its crew constantly on the brink of collapse. DELIGHTFUL!)
