So, I know everyone and their grandmother is SQUEEING about the fact that Pushing Daisies got picked up for a full season already, but I just wanted to say that, for the record, I am squeeing too. ;)

Snagged the icon meme from [livejournal.com profile] inara223

Comment on this post. I'll choose seven userpics from your profile and you'll reply here (or you know, your own journal, whichever), explaining what they mean and why you're using them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so others can play along.

One of my favourite (among many, granted) Crichtonisms. Good for the 'oh woe is me' times (AKA exam season). Also, I think it was one of my first forays into text icons.
Giggly!Rose is infectious, and thus makes a good icon for the Doctor/Rose squee, the Doctor Who squee, or the squee in general. Plus, she just looked so damn CUTE in 'Boomtown'!
I'm still of the opinion that 'Blink' was one of the BEST and also MOST TERRIFYING episodes of Doctor Who there is. Plus Sally Sparrow needs teh love. I'm also quite fond of the crop in this one, if you don't mind me saying. ;)
By [livejournal.com profile] elsmoka. Well, it's The Flight of the Conchords for one, whom I adore, and who everyone should go watch because they're hilarious. Also, there's a map of NZ in the middle there, and I might have mentioned it once or twice, but I used to live there, and it's an INCREDIBLE country and I miss it. *sniffs*
By [livejournal.com profile] twt. I think I, along with a couple other people, have noticed that John Krasinski is devastatingly cute. I'm convinced that this photo along must have done wonders for iPod sales. I also really like the half-and-half background on this one. Reminds me of icecream for some reason.
GAH! My new burgeoning Pushing Daisies love! And my new "wow, I want ALL of Chuck's dresses" love. I remember just trying to make that dress redder and more vibrant when I was fiddling on this one. Good times.
My roommate can attest to the fact that I FLIPPED OUT when Ned said the Jedi line last week. So of course I needed to add a quote from my favourite cheesilicious line from the trilogy. Also: Ned. Mmm................

In other news, I went and got vaccinated today (yay for largescale mumps outbreaks in Nova Scotia) and quite literally had to fend off the nurse from jabbing me in my left arm. Had to convince her that, yes indeed, I was a lefty, and would prefer it if I could still write all those pesky midterms after said jabbage was complete. I mean, c'mon lady, us southpaws aren't THAT uncommon! Anyway, these does lead nicely into my (first!) poll:

[Poll #1076460]

And to end up, like last week, the lovely mods at [livejournal.com profile] thepiehole posted a Canadian Reactions thread. I squeed there. FIRST! Yeah, Atlantic time zone!

I'm so PLEASED. And I find myself having a momentary feeling of admiration and gratitude that the viewers and networks are giving a show that, lets face it, gives quirky a whole new meaning, a chance to grow and SHINE in it's awesomeness. World -- there's hope for you yet.
