Battlestar 4x02
I looooooooove this show.
-Oh, Kara. She and the admiral won at breaking my heart this week. Especially together. That scene when they're all just staring at her, as she's being dragged SCREAMING out of the quarters, I just... this show likes hurting my heart.
-And Laura. *Sigh* I'm getting all conflicted over her this season. And it's only been two episodes! She's turning hard because she has to, because Adama can't and she has to make sure the fleet survives, I get that. But... she missed shooting Kara because she missed, not because she wanted to, and it smashed the photo of her and Adama (before that happened, I got giggly that he has a photo of the two of them up on his wall) and you'd have to be watching a different show not to get the symbolism of that. Sure enough, by the end of Laura and Bill's scene, them just throwing ugly words at each other because they have so much to lose, I was tearing up like anything. It's going to be tough to handle, watching Adama watch Laura dying. Remember how they were in season one? So much has changed.
-The Cylons/Final Five/Baltar's Ho's storylines still only interest me a bit, but I did LOVE head!Baltar appearing to Gaius all of a sudden, and it being awesome. And the schism in the Cylons is interesting. I wonder what Boomer's doing, deciding to side with the guys. And Tricia's Six was as dynamic as ever. Seriously, that woman can act her pants off. It's kinda not fair. The Five will get better when they're not whoring out Tory. Seriously, guys?!
-LEE AND KARA. Yes, I've watched that scene about six times already, and my torrent only finished downloading about two hours ago. That was... exactly what I needed, even if it felt too much like a goodbye. THEY LOVE EACH OTHER. And he believes her. And he just held her at the end there, and damnit those two just keep reeling me in, again and again. I can't wait to see what Lee will do on the Quorum. Whether he'll stand up for what he believes (like, oh say, Kara) or just realize that being Zarek's wingman is going to suck. But he's happy, so I'm happy. I'm glad he and Dee had their moment - that was a decent goodbye. Though I was kinda giggling when he was saying goodbye to Sam, 'cause all I could think was: "Hey Sam, thanks a lot man, good luck. Oh by the by, just got back from making out with your wife. See ya!"
-Yay, Adama's going to let Kara go find earth! I really wish they would give Helo something interesting to do, though, because I love him way too much and it's hurting me that the writers are just making him stand around like a doofus. He's going with Kara I assume, so that should be good. But is he leaving his family? Doesn't he have a highly traumatized two-year-old? Good parenting. Gimme more Agathon family, damnit!
The end is like the beginning. I love you, show. Is it next week yet?
